In pursuit of advancing real-world applications of IOTA technology, the IOTA Foundation has established the Technology Adoption Department. This newly formed division will concentrate on promoting the adoption of IOTA across various industries.
As the IOTA ecosystem progresses with new technological innovations and partnerships, the Foundation is restructuring its top leadership to navigate the next phase of growth. Dr. Navin Ramachandran has been appointed to the Supervisory Board, where he will oversee and guide the Foundation’s activities. With a background as a medical doctor and healthcare researcher, Dr. Ramachandran has been a key member of the IOTA Foundation since 2016. His experience includes advising the UK’s All-Party Parliamentary Group on Blockchain, providing valuable insights to the board.
Joining Dr. Ramachandran on the Supervisory Board are Professor Serguei Popov, a research mathematician and co-founder of the IOTA Foundation, and Clinton Walker, General Counsel at Barclays Bank Delaware.
In addition to Dr. Ramachandran’s appointment, the Board of Directors now includes Dr. Anja Radan, overseeing Legal and Regulatory Affairs; Jan Misselwitz, in charge of Finance & People; and Luca Moser, responsible for Research & Development. Dominik Schiener, Co-Founder of the IOTA Foundation, chairs the Board, as per IOTA reports.
The IOTA Foundation has also named Dr. Christoph Strnadl as the new Director of Technology Adoption. With over thirty years of experience in IT consulting and management, Dr. Strnadl specializes in utilizing technology for business advantages. His background in Theoretical Physics further enhances his technological expertise.
Dr. Strnadl’s career includes a decade as a strategy consultant and business manager at Atos, followed by his tenure at Software AG starting in 2005. In his new role at the IOTA Foundation, Dr. Strnadl will lead technology adoption initiatives in the business-to-business (B2B) and corporate sectors. His focus will be on projects like tokenizing physical assets, including digital product passports and digital identity frameworks.
