Key Upgrades and Functions of ShibaSwap 2.0
Shiba Inu’s Marketing Lead, Lucie, has
highlighted
key functions and facts about ShibaSwap 2.0 in an X post. ShibaSwap is a Decentralized Exchange (DEX) that enables smooth token swaps, liquidity, and staking in the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
Lucie revealed the key technical facts and implications of the new upgrades to ShibaSwap 2.0. First, she noted that the SHIB community eagerly anticipated ShibaSwap 2.0; thus, the enhancements were made with user input.

Also, the new version emphasizes enhancing Decentralized Finance (DeFi) accessibility.
The marketing expert went on to highlight the key difference between ShibaSwap 1.0 and ShibaSwap 2.0. The first version of ShibaSwap, launched in 2021, had basic features like token swaps, liquidity provision (“Digging”), and staking (“Burying”). This is in addition to the rewards tracking tool (Bonefolio). Rewards require a liquidity withdrawal to claim.
However, users can now claim rewards without withdrawing liquidity with ShibaSwap 2.0. The upgrade allows for concentrated deposits, meaning liquidity providers can set price ranges, increasing capital efficiency and optimizing returns. Multi-Hop Swaps is also another key upgrade in ShibaSwap 2.0. It supports multi-pair trading to enable complex transactions.
Other key upgrades included in ShibaSwap 2.0 include transparent APRs and variable fee tiers. The former enhances user transparency by displaying Annual Percentage Rates (APRs) for V1 and V2 pools. The latter consists of three tiers (0.05%, 0.30%, 1.00%), which provide options based on risk tolerance and market projections.
With ShibaSwap 2.0, liquidity providers can now select specific price ranges within which their capital is active to earn fees. If prices move outside the set range, liquidity is temporarily inactive. Additionally, it maintains traditional liquidity provision across the full price spectrum for users preferring a passive approach.
Future Developments in ShibaSwap
Lucie noted that the team intends to upgrade ShibaSwap to V3 in the future further.
Some planned features include limit orders, price alerts, and a more user-friendly interface. Additional concepts like smart swap contracts and Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) are also under consideration.
ShibaSwap 2.0 reflects a transition towards strategic liquidity provision and targeted earnings. It positions the platform as a competitive DeFi tool with advanced user control and improved functionality.
